What We're Eating this week...
Monday...I had a horrible headache and had to work at the gym until 745 so the hubby just brought me a Subway salad.
Tuesday...we went out for dinner because this girl didn't plan well...I had a grilled chicken salad with lots of yummy veggies.
Wednesday is our date night...burger night...I will again get the grilled chicken salad (I am on a meal prep right now.) Or we may decide to eat in and I do have chicken going in the crock pot.
Thursday...we will have ground turkey with yummy veggies.
Friday....grilled shrimp with bell peppers, onions and mushrooms.
Saturday and Sunday...don't know yet I haven't planned well this week!
What I'm Reminiscing About...
Football and Fall...Sic' Em Bears

I am looking forward to watching the first game this weekend!
What I'm Loving...
My morning cardio sessions...about 10-1030 I have been going to my inlays and getting on either the elliptical or treadmill and getting in a good 30-45 minute cardio. I take a book and read and it is just ME time. :-)

What We've Been Up To...
I was busy in the kitchen this past weekend making some yummy treats for a new neighbor, friend I babysit and friend on bed rest. I made chocolate chip cookies and a new recipe called gourmet saltine crackers. So yummy!!

What I'm Dreading...
This weather it is soon hot! Is if Fall yet. I am ready to be able to run outside and enjoy sitting by the fire or cuddled up outside with a blanket enjoying a fall evening!

What I'm Working On.
September 11th I am headed to Austin to get POUND certified. It is a workout with drum sticks...I am so excited!!!
What I'm Excited About...

What I'm Wearing...

Workout clothes....lol

This fun plaid top and looking forward to wearing these two dresses when it cools down.

What I'm doing this weekend...

Watching/Listening to the Baylor game!

What I'm looking forward next month...

Celebrating my Mom's birthday.....Baylor Football continuing.... POUND certification.....putting out Fall decorations (after Labor Day)

What Else is New....

I am asking for prayers for my precious friend's baby boy. He was born this week and is blind. They have a long road ahead. I ask for prayers for his Mom Lauren, Dad Jim and brother James. His name is Jack Andrew.

He is fearfully and wonderfully made!!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to talk all things Fall.

Yes, I know it is still August at 90 plus degrees but I am so ready for Fall. Sweaters, pumpkin spice, pumpkin patches, and warm soups are calling my name.

I have been pinning things to my board Pumpkin's Galore like crazy!! https://www.pinterest.com/prayteachlove/pumpkins-galore/

I have been adding to my fall wardrobe thanks to Trunk Club....this is a service like Stitch Fix but better in my opinion. It is stuff from Nordstrom and they have an actual store front in Dallas. You can go meet with your stylist and have a cocktail while they pull outfits for you. I am excited to get my first trunk and tell you about the goodies. Here are some fun things she picked for me already.

I think this will make a super cute fun date night outfit and later on I can add a fun wrap or cardigan with it.

I am excited to try some new things this Fall and have started a fun bucket list based on some ideas from Pinterest....

What are you most looking forward to doing this Fall?!?! Comment below

I'm going to recap today what I have been reading and watching lately.

What I'm Reading...

Here's To Us...by Elin Hilderbrand

This is probably by 10th or so Elin Hilderbrand book. I love that they are mostly set on Nantucket a place that is on my bucket list to visit.

I loved that this book was about a chef...I am trying to learn to cook some new things. Deacon is the main character that the book is centered around. He passes away and it is a story about his 3 wives, children and how they all cope with his loss. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more Elin Hilderbrand books.

First Comes Love...by Emily Giffin

I have read several of Emily Giffin books some I have loved and others I haven't. I truly did enjoy this one and it was probably the best of the month. Without giving to much away it is about 2 sisters and a tragedy that strikes the family. You learn about the tragedy about midway through the book (wish I would of known sooner) and it is truly about how a family grows closer or grows apart through tragedy.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child...by J.K. Rowling

Ok confession...I didn't read all of the Harry Potter books as a kid. I read up to book 4 or 5 I can't remember as an adult when I was a librarian. I mean we know Harry is going to live right?!?!

I didn't enjoy this book though because it was written as a play. I think it would be awesome to actually go see it live. It was neat to see Harry, Hermione, Ginny and Ron all grown up with children of their own. I did enjoy the element of suspense with Harry's son and seeing their relationship work itself out in the end.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette, by Maria Semple

This one I questioned as a read and it was a little hard to continue reading as many things I was left asking myself, "What just happened?" The story is based on a family the Mom (an architect), the Dad (works for Microsoft) and a daughter Bee. The mom goes missing and the family takes a trip to Antarctica to find her. I will just say it is one you have to read for yourself.

The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo...by Amy Schumer

I laughed out loud of much in this book and thought many times really AMY?!?! I enjoyed the movie TrainWreck when it came out and enjoy Amy as a comedian. There were many sexual references in the story (prepare yourself). I enjoyed learning about Amy's family and her influences along the way in her life. It is a good quick read.

What I'm Watching....

The Real Housewives of Orange Country...OMG the episode this week.

So sweet...I had goosebumps watching as Shannon and David renewed their vows!
Kelly is crazy!!
Heather can you move into your house already?
Tamara damn you look good!
Megan...so excited for you to have a little one.

Last Chance U....this is a Netflix documentary about kids playing football who have faced hard times and learned because of it. It is just 6 episodes but sooo good.

What are you reading and watching lately?! Would love any suggestions! Have a great HUMP DAY!!!

Today I am linking up with MomFessionals for Show and Tell Tuesday...Advice to my High School self!!!

1) Friends---you think you can't live without them. In all honesty most of your high school friends won't remain your friends after high school. Sure you will tell each other happy birthday, keep up with each other on social media, and go to each others weddings and baby showers. However, most of the friends you had in High School were friends just for that part of life.

2) Listen to your parents. My dad used to spy on my and my boyfriends. I remember him one night catching me kissing my boyfriend in the back seat of his Jeep. LOL. I have a picture of him standing in the window the night of my prom. You don't have to do everything your friends do. You don't have to go to that party, smoke, or lose your virginity. Be true to who you are.

3) Boys....do you not always have to have a boyfriend. From Freshmen year to Senior year I dated 10 guys today. 3 freshmen year, 3 sophomore year, 3 junior year and 1 my Senior year. Do I talk to any of these guys today? NO (one 1 or 2).....One of them in married to a high school friend and the other is a really good friend. We talk every couple of month. You won't marry your high school sweetheart, be apart of the Army life and have 2-3 kids with him. (Thank you Jesus)!!!

4) Take pictures...I wish I had more pictures from high school. I have pictures of almost every football game but not pictures of me really with just friends or boyfriends doing everyday life. Wait my life was football games and cheerleading.

5) Your social life isn't everything!!! Focus on your classes and getting into College!!! Yes, I took Pre-Ap and AP classes. However, I didn't pass any of the AP tests so I got no college credit and I regret that. Pay attention in class it will help you in College!

What advice would you give your High School self?

It was a very relaxing and chill weekend. It rained off and on so that kept me inside most of the day which I was fine with.

Friday evening we had date night and tried a new restaurant TEJAS.

What I wore...I love everything about this outfit!!!

Plaid top-Nordstorm, White Jeans-Hudson, Necklace-Stella and Dot, Belt-Gap,
Booties-Sole Society they are Steve Madden brand

For dinner I had the gulf shrimp and hubby had the trout. The margaritas' were super yummy!!! After dinner at TEJAS we went to another favorite Superior Steakhouse and had a drink and some yummy carrot cake. :-)

Saturday morning I had work and then ran some errands. I decided to set some mid August goals and one of them was cleaning out my inbox, clutter and deleted items in my mailbox. I have so many so I have decided to just dedicated about 30 mins to this task each day. I also finished reading a book that was in my August to read pile. More of this later when I recap what I read in August.

I got in my cardio and a healthy snack of oatmeal and strawberries. If you want to know more about my meal plan I would love to share details.

Sunday, I watched a new show on Netflix called Last Chance U...more to come on that on Friday when I do Friday Favorites. I did some yard work...It has been raining like crazy so our weeds are out of control.

Yesterday (Sunday afternoon) my hubby decided he wanted to go watch Star Trek. So at 740 last night we loaded up and went to the movie. I don't remember Star Trek being that funny as a kid but there were many points throughout the movie that I laughed.

Proabably the best line was...."So you mean to tell me you gave your girlfriend a tracking device?"

I love Spock....Live Long and Prosper

And...of course Scotty!!! Beam me up Scotty!!

I am linking up today with 3 fabulous Moms for Friday Favorites!!!

1) The cooler temperatures we have been having this week! It has been raining a lot but it has really cooled things off. I am excited for a night out tonight so I can wear some booties.

2) Let's face it since I am not working this year in a school setting it has been workout clothes every day for me. I love feeling comfy and with this yucky weather I just want to stay in bed all day.
My favorite brand of workout clothes are the Zella live in leggings. Thank you Sheaffer for introducing me to this brand of workout clothes.

They do come in fun patterns also!!

3) This was a great week at work (I work at a gym) part time. We had 80s day for my Boss' birthday and did 80s celeb barre. We got to dance to Footloose and some great 80s music! I love my job, getting to workout and have fun at the same time!!!

4) It has been a super crazy week and I am ready to relax this weekend!! I do have to work Saturday and we have a birthday party for a friend's little boy. But otherwise I am looking forward to sleeping in and catching up on laundry and house chores.

5) Please pray for Louisiana the rain down South is finally starting to let up and people are able to return to their homes but their will be a lot of rebuilding in the future days ahead.

The weather in Louisiana has been crazy these past few days. It has been raining and parts of Baton Rouge (our capital and home to the LSU tigers) and Lafayette are flooded. Please pray for all of these victims as they will soon have to repair their homes.

I am welcoming the cooler temperature however and it is making me ready for Fall everything!!! I can't wait for pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin patches and craving, Fall decorations, booties, scarves and all the things that make me cozy.

My Pinterest board Pumpkins Galore is full of all things pumpkins, Halloween, recipes, and Fall clothes. https://www.pinterest.com/prayteachlove/pumpkins-galore/

What are some of your favorite Fall things to do?

In October my husband and I are going to New York for a day and a half before boarding a cruise ship out of New Jersey.

I am so excited because we are going to see Wicked. I loved the Wizard of Oz as a child. It was one of the first Disney VHS's (yes I am dating myself) I had. I loved watching it at my grandmother's while my Mom and her talked.

We are staying at the Omni Berkshire. We love the Omni hotels especially the one in Dallas and Ft. Worth. If you ever stay at the one in Dallas eat at Bob's Steakhouse. OMG sooooo good!!

Then we will board the Celebrity Summit for a 6 day cruise. We are at sea 3 days and then sail to St. Thomas and St. Marten before returning to San Juan.

We have been to St. Thomas many times before so I am hoping we can find somewhere to parasail.

I am linking up for Friday Favorites today....
I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by. It seems like it just started. It has been cloudy off and on here this week, but has been a nice treat since it is normally well over 100 during August.

1) I am excited to celebrate my husband's 32nd birthday today (the 12).

2) My husband loves all things Colorado so I am very excited about one of his birthday gifts these awesome etched glasses with all things we love about Colorado and Vail (his favorite place to ski).

3) I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend reading my new books Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Center Ring.

4) I love the Summer Olympics....especially watching Michael Phelps win his 22nd gold medal. I am excited to be able to stay up later this weekend and watch swimming.

5) Erin Condren...I am so excited my new planner arrived and I have been filling it up with all the important details I need to remember!
