Friday Favorites...Guys Gift Guy Verison

Today I am linking up with Andrea, Narci and Erika for Friday Favorites!!!

This time of year give me all the Christmas movies...I love to watch the Hallmark channel in the evenings. I know they are all very predictable but they are happy!!!

I love Tim Allen in the SANTA CLAUS and Charlie Brown is always a favorite.

What is your favorite Christmas movie? I love Home Alone, Elf and the Grinch...but also love the classics of Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman.

Chritmas cookies....Every year during the holidays my mom makes Swedish Spritz cookies. She has her great grandmother's original spritz cookie maker from Sweden that she brought over when she came to the USA. I look forward to these cookies all year long. They are light and sweet but ooo so yummy. When I was in Sweden in husband and I got her a new Spritz cookie maker because the original one is just sooo old and we want to keep and enjoy it but still enjoy the yummy cookies.

I recently discovered the website HUCKBERRY. It has awesome things for the men in your life! I bought the hubby a new gym bag for Christmas and I can't wait for him to open it. I personally loved that it had a separate area for his shoes!!

I am excited to give my dad his gift also...when he gets home the evenings and it is cooler he enjoys wearing a casual shirt with PJ pants. I have found he honestly loves the PJ pants from GAP that were given to him years ago.

I typically find the men in the family are the hardest to shop for so many this gave you some ideas. :-)

Everybody deserves some SPARKLE in their life and I am covering shipping on Stella and Dot jewels until Sunday when we have Christmas cutout. I personally am loving the new GEMMA earrings and bracelet. I love the versatility of Stella and Dot pieces are these earrings are no exception. They can be worn as a stud or more of a statement piece.

Merry Christmas blogging world! I am off to wrap some presents and head to work on this cold December day!!!

Working It Wednesday's with Erika and Shay

Today I am linking up with Erika and Shay for Working It's topic is how to stay SANE during the holidays!!!

I am a TO DO LIST queen...I create a to do list just to cross things off!!!

I create daily lists and also list of things that need to get done over time.

For example today....

Return coat to Mom (she left in my car)
Return table to Zephyr (I used a folding table for my cookie exchange party)
Talk to Grandmother about Christmas plans
Conference call at noon
Order Christmas gift for dad

Then I have lists of tasks that need to get done...
Address Christmas cards
Mail Christmas cards
Get stamps
Wrap Christmas gifts
Write thank you notes
Pay health insurance

TO DO list keep me sane...It doesn't matter whether I write them on my phone or on paper I always have one.

During the Christmas season...I write lists constantly...

I have a list of every present I have bought for family and friends
I write a calendar list of all activities planned for the holiday season

I like to buy Christmas cards early either from Minted or Shutterfly. I have personally have had better success with Shutterfly because they send coupons and have fast shipping.

I like to create a list of people I am sending Christmas cards in EXCEL. I can access this list year to year and add to it. I typically order between 50 and 75 cards. Mail days in December are my favorite because I love getting SNAIL mail and seeing how my friends families have grown. I also love to send them to friends near and far. mom and I always go BLACK FRIDAY shopping!!! We go later in the day and just enjoy getting in the Christmas spirit. We pop over to the DOMAIN in Austin and just make a day of it. After eating all the turkey and dressing we love to have MEXICAN for lunch. This is a fun tradition I look forward to each year.

What is on your do list this year before the BIG GUY arrives?!!

Tomorrow I am going to an annual event Festival of Trees, I plan to take an evening to look at Christmas lights, we have Christmas with my grandparents, parents and inlaws coming up.

The most important thing to me though is to take time to relax and enjoy and remember the real reason for the season. Jesus Christ our Savior

Friday Favorites...Cookie Exchange

Today I am linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea for Friday Favorites....

Some parts of TX got snow last night...Austin, College Station, Houston etc. sadly in where I am in Central TX we did not.

This make me LOL!!!

Last night I hosted my first annual cookie exchange in our new house. I sent out invites a couple of weeks ago and asked everybody to bring 2 dozen cookies. I also had dinner for everybody with ham and cheese sliders, soups (baked potato, broccoli and cheese, and Mix and Match Mama's Tex Mex). I had multiple vendors also so people could get some Christmas shopping done. We enjoyed the colder temperatures and just visiting.

I got the baked potato and broccoli and cheese from McAlister's and just heated them up on the stove and then kept warm in the crockpot. I sadly didn't get a picture of everyone's yummy cookies but here are some pictures of the evening.

Everybody was given a little box and cookie cutter as a party favor and so they could enjoy some cookies at home. I had a little over 15 people over last evening and it was a fun tradition I hope to continue next year maybe with appetizers or something different to change it up a bit.

I am loving Stella and Dot new holiday collection and BONUS right now....I am covering shipping on orders over 50 and then if you spend 100 you get a free pair of sparkle or luxe studs. My link to shop is

Wednesday evening the hubby and I headed to Austin because he needed to replace his cell phone. I was able to do some Christmas shopping he needed and idea for me. I have been eyeing a new ski jacket and pants. I have had my current set for 8 years and the pants are starting to show their age along with a few rips and tears from falls (ACL). My jacket was white and uh so dirty. Never again will I get white lol!!!

I hope everybody has a fun weekend and enjoys these cooler temperatures. I am off to a wedding tonight and then having coffee with a girlfriend Saturday. The hubby is off to Alabama to see his grandfather for the holidays.

Friday Favorites.....Fall Edition

Happy FRI-YAY!!!

My sweet friend from SFA, sent me this sweet book for my birthday. I have slowly been reading it, laughing out loud and just thinking God for the amazing friendships he has graciously blessed me with.

Stella and Dot's Holiday line launched and it's all kinds of amazing!!

This week we celebrated FALL at our house with our Small Group!! It is such a blessing to call these people friends and worship with them weekly. We had a baked potato bar and sides and then carved pumpkins. I gave prizes for biggest pumpkin, fastest carving couple, and most creative. Can you guess who won which category?!

Friday Favorites

Today, I am linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci for Friday Favorites. It seems this week has just flown by.

This past weekend my husband came in and surprised me. We were able to spend the weekend together celebrating my mom for her 65th birthday. We enjoyed dinner Friday night in Austin and then lunch at Pappadeax's on Sunday her actual birthday. It was nice to all be together!!!

I have been busy decorating my house for all things Fall. Small group meets twice a month at our house and I just wanted it to start feeling like a home. I am in love with my gallery wall. I have a coffee table, console and mirror on the way but it is coming together. I am excited for my inlaws to visit next weekend and see our TX home.

Stella has some fun new tops and earrings and I am ready for cooler temperatures so I can wear Fall scarves!!
