Hey loves!!! Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween!!!! Today, I wanted to share some fun accessories I have come across lately and am loving. I recently discovered Bauble Bar and love the deals.
They have an incentive program so with each purchase you earn points towards future purchase. They sell a similar brand at Target too which is super cute. Is there anyone else like me who goes to Target with a mission but then...Oh look the dollar spot, and holiday, and ooo yeah I need that also. I don't think I have ever just gone in there to buy a single thing.
I am crushing major on these Devri Resin Hoop earrings and if you are a new customer you get 15 percent off your first order.
I also ordered this Aimee Layered Y Chain necklace. I was needing a simple layering piece and I think this will be perfect. It comes in gold and rose gold also.
As, always I am loving our Stella and Dot pieces for the holidays!!!
Happy MONDAY friends!!! It is hard to believe the SUMMER is about to wrap up. Yes, I know it is September but FALL doesn't officially start until the 22nd. In the Beason house it has been a good summer from our trip to Alaska to days spend in TX and Louisiana. It was a very laid back summer as we are preparing for a big trip in October for our 10 year anniversary. It is hard to believe its been 10 years almost.
With FALL around the corner I wanted to finally get my back patio in order for our annual Fall/Halloween party and just so we can enjoy drinks, dinner and time with family and friends via the PATIO.
I contacted an old college roommate from Baylor Maggie would does interior design in the Granbury/Dallas area. I was always super jealous of how cute her room looked in college. She had a red painted accent wall before accent walls were really a thing.
I sent over pictures of our patio and told her an overall general idea I was going for and she hit the ground running. Literally in less than 48 hours I had a design ready to go.
Here is the design! I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out and can't wait to surprise hubby with the design and plan!
Most of the items are from either WayFair or Target which makes shipping and receiving the products easy and pain free!
I have already received the two mint green stools and the coffee table and am waiting on the rest of the items and will do a big revel when everything is in.
Father's Day is quickly approaching so I put together a quick little gift guide for the men in your life. These ideas are great for all the men in your life from husbands and dads to uncles and brothers. Men sometimes can be hard to shop for at least in my family because if they want it they go buy it.
My husbands top picks are Under Armor polos and Bose Headphones for travel.
About 3 years ago my husband and I walked into a Brookstone store just browsing for Christmas gifts. The gentleman working asked if we had heard of Bose noise cancelling headphones? My dad actually had a pair and had recently used them for travel. My husband put them on and was instantly sold. We actually just took our pairs with us to Seattle. My mother in law had asked which pairs we had because she wanted some for this trip. We gave my brother in law a pair for Christmas and he loves them. So for Mother's Day my Mother in Law got a set and for Father's Day I am upgrading my dad's set and got my Father in Law a set also.
Yes the price point is high, but let me tell you it is worth every penny. They can connect to the airplane so you can watch movies onboard. They also work off Bluetooth so you can listen to anything on your cellphone if you pair them together.
For much of high school and college my husband wore POLOs. However, they started shrinking and he found he didn't like the fabric of them. About 7-8 years ago he started wearing Nike Air Dry polos for work and loved them. The colors didn't fade and the material was super breathable.
Today, he prefers the fabric of the Under Armour Polos and the Heat Gear technology. He pretty much won't wear any other type polo for work or fun. They come in a variety of colors, wash and wear well, don't shrink and last.
Summer is here officially and the Yeti cooler is perfect for a day at the lake or beach. Outdoor parties and BBQs or during the FALL great for tailgates. They come in a variety of colors and sizes also
The most used item, I have purchased for my husband lately is this Klein set of nut drivers. They come in a variety pack of sizes and can be used for so much. Taking nuts and blots off of dryers, washers and even air conditioning units. I think I hear my dad daily say I need a 5/16 nut driver!
Who doesn't love to cookout during the summer? This cookbook is the perfect cookbook for new and old grillers. It has everything from chicken, shrimp and steak to corn on the cob, pineapples and asparagus. The perfect cookbook for someone hard to shop for.
What do you plan to get the Father in your life this Father's Day?
WHEW!! I am back on TEXAS soil! It's true what they say you can take the girl out of TX, but you can't take the TX out of the girl. I am truly a Southern girl when it comes to warm weather and southern hospitality.
I just spent 2 wonderful days and 7 days aboard the Princess Emerald cruise ship in Alaska with my inlaws, brother in law and hubby.
It truly was a fun trip as we visited 4 ports, went on a helicopter ride, explored the Tracy Arm fjords and walked on a glacier
We left Dallas, TX last Saturday AM and flew to Seattle, Washington. Once in Seattle the hubby and I decided to walk around and explore. Two years ago we went to the Space Needle and enjoyed dinner. This time around I researched a little more and we truly explored more of the boardwalk and what Seattle does have to offer. All of this was in walking distance from our hotel.
Seattle is very well known for Pike's Place Market....to my surprise this is a multi level building full of various shops with everything from grocery store necessities, fresh fruits and veggies, to flowers, and local crafts. We explored two main levels of the market and saw what they are best known for the fish and beautiful flowers!!!
After exploring the market, we took the short walk to the bubble gum wall. I literally thought this was one single wall with gum. However, it is kind of in an alley and there is lots and lots of gum. There were even words spelled out including, TEXAS.
On our last trip to Seattle, I ran along the boardwalk and it was just so pleasant. The views of the water, sculptures and skyline were just breathtaking and I could run all the way from our hotel to the pier where our cruise ship left about 5-6 miles. My husband and I decided to walk along and we walked through sculpture park. Some many interesting pieces of art work.
Summer is quickly approaching and my summer wardrobe of shorts, t-shirts and sandals is ready!!!
I love to wear neutrals with fun pops of color in the SUMMER! Give me all the corals, turquoise, fuchsia, yellows and bright blues you can!
I recently paired together a fun outfit with purples and a fun neon yellow! This is the perfect outfit for a GNO, date night, or even the work place. I love that the top can be tucked in or out however, I prefer in.
Both the top and skirt are from Banana Republic and the shoes are Michael Kors. Bracelets and earrings Stella and Dot.
I recently ordered some fun new dresses, tops and sandals from Nordstrom and can't wait to try them on. I love shopping Nordstrom because of the free shipping and returns. I also love their points system and earring Nordstrom notes for future purchase. Twice yearly they do anniversary sales and then triple points day also.
They offer so many fun brands that there truly is something for everyone!
Summer is quickly approaching, we are on the final days of school parties, teacher appreciation, dance recitals, Mother's Day and the end of sports seasons.
While, May is super busy...soon we will be busy spending our days at the pool, with friends or on a fun family vacation.
I don't have kids yet, but I was a former teacher and I babysat throughout the summer for multiple years. I like to be outside playing and enjoying the sunshine vs inside watching TV, playing video games or on technology.
I think it is important to create a SUMMER BUCKET LIST so you can refer back to it on the days your kiddos or you are bored and find a fun activity to enjoy.
Many local communities offer summer camps and things to do from movie in the park to local community wide events for Memorial Day and 4th of July. Spend time browsing your local newspaper, Facebook and community website for things to do.
I have found a variety of websites for my local community and am sharing them below. From the library to the water park there is something for all ages and lifestyles.
Take a trip to a local community museum. Locally you can visit the Bell County museum or if you want to go a little farther venture to Waco to the Mayborn children's museum.
TX has many local libraries and museums from PEROT in Dallas to the Bush Library in College Station.
Water Parks

Locally in Killen Lions Club Park has a community pool and water park.
Belton, TX has Summer Fun USA
If you are looking for something bigger or a weekend trip there is Great Wolf Lodge in the Dallas area or Fiesta TX in San Antonio.
What are you looking forward to doing this summer?!
OLE OLE...Happy Thursday to my fellow blogging friends and those following along on this journey with me. I can't believe this weekend is Cinco De Mayo! To me Cinco De Mayo is really the first holiday to kick off the summer festivities of warmer weather, days by the pool and shorts and flip-flops everyday. I wanted to share a fun top with you my favorite Mexican dish and our course a yummy recipe for margaritas!
How are you spending Cinco De Mayo? I will be doing a Stella and Dot party and wanting on election day results. My dad is running for City Council in my hometown. It is sure to be a great day with of course my favorite meal.

My top is from a local small business in Shreveport, LA Village Washstand. I love supporting small business. This particular shop is filled with everything from bedding and linens to clothing for men and women. They carry a wide variety of some of my favorite brands and just recently restocked this top. They can be found on Instagram @villagewashstand
My jeans are Hudson and I find they run very true to size! I have had them about 2 years and wear them a ton during the summer. They are the Colin fit. This particular pair is no longer made however, I love all Hudson jeans!
My flip-flops are the beloved Tory Burch Miller sandals in a nude color. They can be found a variety of places such as the Tory Website, Nordstrom and Neimans to name a few.
Another fun outfit for Cinco is this fun top from EverEve! I recently discovered this boutique in Austin, TX and am loving it. You can shop their products online.

EATS
Now that we have your dressed and looking cute for CINCO DE MAYO we need to talk food and drinks!
My favorite go to appetizer is a chicken enchilada dip. It is a quick and easy appetizer and always a crowd pleaser. There is little prep time and you can have it ready to serve in 30 mins.
RECIPE
1 can chicken (drained)
1 small can chopped green chilis
1 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 cup mayonnaise
chopped jalapenos (to taste)
Mix above ingredients with a hand mixer and spread evenly in a shallow dish. I like to use a pie plate personally.
Top with shredded cheese
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
Quick, easy and super YUMMY!
If I am having a FIESTA party I want guacamole, salsa and chips!!! I literally eat Mexican multiple times a month and if you don't love Mexican then who are you?!?!
